SulAmérica has programs and processes structured for environmental management that guide the correct disposal of waste derived from its operations, including those generated by claims.
To streamline this process, SulAmérica is structuring an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on the ISO 14001 standard. The EMS will enable an improvement in the indicators and the structured definition of complementary environmental objectives, maximizing the results and reducing the possible environmental risks in its value chain.

Since 2009 SulAmérica has developed initiatives for reducing the consumption of paper in its operations, as well as for the efficient use of water and energy.

SulAmérica has taken and released its Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions, considering the direct and indirect emissions in its value chain (Scopes 1, 2 and 3 of the GHG Protocol), since 2010.
In 2012, the Company started to integrate the public records of the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, obtaining the gold seal for having presented a complete inventory audited by an independent third party.
SulAmérica has specific channels for relationship with its stakeholders and has procedures and processes structured to meet and address recorded demands.
The quality and satisfaction in the relationship with customers is an objective of the Company, which addresses the topic in many professional fronts.
The relationship with suppliers and service providers is focused on improving the operational efficiency to contribute to the quality of the services provided to all customers. One example of this practice is the Relationship Program with Automobile Service Providers (more information here).
The actions for developing employees are priority to the Company.
Relationships with underserved communities is reinforced through support for social projects focused on the development of human capital and social risks prevention.
The actions on engagement and relationship with brokers include meetings with executives to discuss about products and services, the Broker Portal, the PRA Broker program, besides the specific training and development programs such as the Corretor Nova Geração (New Generation Broker).

SulAmérica is signatory to the three important commitments promoted by the United Nations (UN) for incorporating the ESG into the business lines
- The Global Compact is an initiative planned for companies committed to align their operations and strategies with the ten universally accepted principles in the human rights, labor relations, environment and corruption fight areas.
- By means of the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI), the Company is committed to include the ESG issues in decision making, besides engaging its value chain and periodically disclose its performance.
- SulAmérica Investimentos, the Group’s asset management company, by means of the Principle for Responsible Investment (PRI), is committed to incorporate the ESG issues into the analysis, decision and investment management.
In this way, by meeting the assumed commitments, SulAmérica promotes the integration of the ESG issues into its strategy and business model, products and services.
The Company’s commitment to sustainability is part of its institutional positioning, through the participation in the PSI Council.
